Creative Dancer Filmmaker+
Originally from South Florida, Shauna Davis is a creative, dancer, and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. In creation, Shauna makes cinematic and storied dance experiences influenced by history and the fantasy of the future. She was a 2020-2021 Resident Artist with La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club, during which she created her debut short, BLACK.ECO, an Afrofuturist dance film that went on to several festivals and was awarded a video billboard by the City of West Hollywood. Shauna has presented work at MOCA Geffen, Ace Hotel Palm Springs, LA Opera, ICA LA, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, and Opera Omaha, among others. Through movement and storytelling, Shauna finds alternate and colorful ways to express the nuances of being, while encompassing themes of legacy, reclamation and popular culture.
As a dancer, she has worked with artists such as Bad Bunny, Jhené Aiko, The Weeknd, Snoop Dogg, Melanie Martinez, The Weeknd and Olivia Rodrigo, She has performed at The Academy Awards & Coachella Music Festival and with No)One. Art House, LA Opera, Long Beach Opera and LA Chamber Orchestra. She is a graduate of New World School of the Arts and Southern Methodist University, Meadows School of the Arts. Shauna is represented by Bloc Talent Agency. Most recently, Shauna was on international and national tours with Jhené Aiko (The Magic Hour Tour) & Melanie Martinez (The Trilogy Tour).
